24 hours in Paris...don't mind if I do :)

Updated: Jun 24

After two years of planning and countless moments of procrastination, I finally took the plunge and embarked on my trip to Paris! It had been a long-anticipated journey, and I was excited to make the most of my short time in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. One of my goals for 2025 is to travel and explore as much as I can and I intend to see it through. Kicking off my adventure in Paris was an excellent start!

Arriving in the City of Lights

After a smooth and safe flight, I landed in the captivating city of Paris. Although it was winter, the air was crisp, but I was so excited and grateful to be in Paris I think that definitely warmed me up. In the car driving to my hotel, my heart raced, I was already dreaming of croissants, cafés, and stunning architecture.

As I approached my hotel, the stunning views, the bright and busy location, the many, many...many restaurants made me feel like a character in a movie and for the next 24 hours, I was determined to be the star of my own Parisian adventure.

HOTEL DETAILS:

Hotel - Hotel Maxim Quartier Latin

Location - Latin Quarter, Paris (5th arrondissement)

Perfume workshop at Musee du Parfum

I started off my first full day with a perfume workshop at the Fragonard perfume museum (Musee du Parfum). I had the best morning learning all about the history of French perfumes and gaining insight into the French fragrance industry.

We got to make our own small sample bottle of perfume to take home! As we made the perfume, we learnt about how to layer the scents with the base notes, middle notes and top notes... mine smelt amazing of course :)

After our tour of the museum, we were shown how to properly apply different perfumes and fragrances and how to layer perfume which is a lesson I definitely needed!

And of course I HAD to purchase a perfume for myself, I mean how could I not!?

Galerie Lafayette

I mean....who plans a trip to Paris without a little shopping?!

I HAD to visit Galerie Lafayette and I loved it!!!

Although it was very overwhelming...so many floors, so many shops, sooo many options, I didn't even know where to start but I got there in the end. I had to get a new charm for my bracelet so Pandora was the obvious choice! I got bought all my gifts and some new makeup from Sephora (obviously). I finished my shopping trip with a rooftop view and a great view of the Eiffel Tower.

Gratitude

As my 24 hours in Paris came to an end, I felt fulfilled and inspired. A break in Paris is just what I needed and a great way to start my new year. Spending time alone in a new place felt invigorating. It was a solo trip that filled me with so many new ideas, a chance to recharge, explore, and create memories I will treasure forever.
